Whirl
Installation with kinetic sculpture and performance
size of the object: 100 x 100 cm / size of the substrate: 500 x 500 cm
materials: wood, putty, engine, metal, acrylic paint, tarpaulin

The person approaches a whirlpool-like sculpture that reacts and activates upon contact with a human being, accelerating and emitting an immersive images and sound.
Using a special tool, either the author or a participant pours successive portions of liquid paint into the center, which then disperse centripetally.
The result is a series of centered images, creating spreading circles that resemble waves on water, but on a substrate prepared by Mydlak.

Through her close interaction with the interpretation of the source of danger, Mydlak aims to conquer her fear of drowning which has accompanied her since childhood.
She endeavors to channel this fear into new forms of expression, generating successive images that are the outcome of the performance.
